Partnership: STEM-ulation

The STEM-ulation Foundation and Indigo Announce Partnership

The STEM-ulation Foundation Inc. and Indigo announce collaboration to use Indigo to enhance STEM-ulation's reskill/upskill training programs which prepare participants for certification with hands-on applied knowledge in addition to text study.  Indigo and these certification programs help people gain a better awareness of who they are and how they can become a better version of themselves by equipping them with the tools and support necessary to pursue life and happiness at work and in their personal lives.

About STEM-ulation

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on education in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics fields of study. STEM-ulation’s vision is to  expose and inspire more under-served communities to the S.T.E.M. fields through experiential education by improving the numbers of underrepresented minorities in the S.T.E.M. fields of study and careers by implementing the following:

  • Providing supplemental tutoring in the fields of math and science for students in K-12

  • Implementing various hands-on, practical and reflective educational community workshops and conferences

  • Exposure to and partnerships with companies, organizations and community leaders in applicable S.T.E.M. industries

  • Providing scholarships to technical colleges and universities

  • Providing continuing education in the S.T.E.M. fields for adults

  • Providing continuous support and mentorship for young adults studying in the S.T.E.M. fields and adults working in the S.T.E.M. fields for retention purposes

The STEM-ulation Foundation kicked off its first cohort in the Fall of 2021 and solicited underrepresented individuals to fill out an interest form for cohorts that would provide certifications in Cybersecurity, Drone Piloting, Data Analytics and Programming. To maximize the success of individuals with the STEM-ulation Foundation's cohorts, the organization screened those interested using Indigo and took a journey of self-discovery with each individual using the Indigo report results.  In addition, the results helped determine if each participant had matches with various careers in technology; specifically, Cybersecurity, Drone Piloting, Data Analyst or Computer Programmer.  If a current match was not found, the STEM-ulation Foundation reached out to partnering nonprofits that provided training in the career options highlighted in the individual's Indigo results.
