In a few months, Indian Country Today, a news organization owned by the nonprofit arm of the National Congress of American Indians, will open a newsroom at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. This marks the beginning of an innovative, unique partnership that will provide students the resources to cover Native American stories but also “better serve our Native communities regionally and nationally and grow the pipeline of Native students who may be interested in a career in journalism.”
Indigo Impact Initiative has worked closely with Native American communities in San Juan County, Utah, where it has laid the foundation for several new career pathways among students. The ASU-ICT partnership is another example of progress for the Native American Community!
